Warner Brothers: Justice League AR

In 2017, I was on a team that was tasked with creating a family of AR effects to promote Warner Brothers' Justice League feature film on social media. The effects were some of the earliest commercial implementations of augmented reality on Facebook's platform, shortly after their acquisition of MSQRD (Now known as Spark AR. Formerly known as AR Studio v13)

I helped the art director create the initial designs, concepts, and animation previs to help establish the narratives, as well as some of the hero assets.

Using Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema 4D, and AR Studio v13 I created assets and project files for Aquaman’s facial hair and eyes, makeup for Batman, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman, data animation for the Flash and Cyborg, Cyborg’s laser scanning eye, Batman’s batarang and screen shatter, and Wonder Woman’s shield and explosion effects.

These assets and AR project files were then passed on to the lead 3D artist and developers at the Mill for final compositing and scripting.
